Karin TarQwyn is Headed Back to CT

Karin TarQwyn...the K9 P.I.News from: Karin TarQwyn… the K9 P.I.

Headin’ the doggies EAST!!!! After reviewing The Andy case, we have decided to come back to Connecticut to expand the search for this lovable little Corgi. Based on recent sightings and in some cases lack of sightings in certain areas, I feel it is likely that Andy is now frequenting other locations and/or has expanded his travel route. Without a more definitive location, it is difficult for the volunteer ground crew to know what areas to cover in their awareness campaigns let alone where to place traps and cameras.

We will be arriving on the East coast at the end of this week and will begin the search for Andy on Saturday. You have all been supportive of our efforts in the past and I truly appreciate it. Please hold a positive thought for us as we head your way with the goal of locating this indomitable little dog. See you all soon… I will post updates here as I learn more… Thanks… Karin, CADE, Brodie, Paco and making his first trip… new rescue… TRUMP

Andy Seen Today!!!

This just in from Karin TarQwyn…the K9 P.I.
Editors Note: The exact locations have been removed to ensure Andy’s search efforts are not compromised.

k9 TrackerANDY SEEN TODAY!!!!!!!! Folks it is what we all live for… Today a student on his lunch called to say I think I saw that dog on the side of the road just 15 minutes ago. Michael, Tom and I rushed to the sighting… There was confusion on the address so we had to use CADE… the air scent dog. WE scanned the road and Cade alerted… I have Andy’s scent. We were off and running! David the student finally got back to us to tell us exaclty where on the road he saw the wandering Corgi. WE drove to the spot, got out Brodie our tracker and………….. Brodie alerted this is Andy!!! Brodie began to track down a stream and within 10 minutes came to the place where Cade had tracked to earlier. Cade had found Andy’s trail in the ethers… Brodie tracked from the very spot Andy had been seen!

Our Tracking Team is in CT!

Karin TarQwyn...the K9 P.I.Private Investigator and Missing Dog Expert Karin TarQwyn and her amazing team of tracking dogs have arrived in Connecticut and started the search for Andy today.

Following are the updates she posted throughout the day on Andy’s Facebook page. Go Karin!!!

We began our work today at the place where Andy escaped. This beginning gives us a baseline as well as a feel for what happened that night. Andy ran north across the fields and up to the church and across the parking lot. He then turned onto the road and began traveling to the Southeast. It is likely that he was still in a bolt and run mode at the point where we pulled Cade our lead dog up and returned so we would could begin checking sightings.

WE proceeded the two most recent sightings using Brodie and the three other tracking dogs. All the dogs said the same thing… they could not detect Andy’s scent at the Wilton Rd./33 sighting or at the Pink Cloud sighting. These sightings were other dogs… not Andy.

DISCOVERY!!! On two separate occasions, the camera picked up what looked like a corgi rear end and then also corgi ears. WE proceeded to those locations and lo and behold… Cade picked up Andy’s scent at the first location and Brodie and Cade picked his scent up at the second location… So…. the Corgi butt and corgi ears… belonged to Andy!!!! Onward and upward… we began to track.

WE tracked through briars and creeks, down streets and apartment buildings, from dumpster to dumpster and back into the woods. WE tracked the elusive little corgi for over 2 miles ending our day in a wooded area with arbitrary fencing and obstacles that was difficult for both humans and tracking dogs to get around. Together we worked over 7 hours today and learned how Andy is traveling. It is likely he is moving at night and then using the cover of woods and open spaces to get from one place to another. We learned alot today but it is likely that we are still at least a week behind Andy. Based on our work today, it is possible that he has been in some areas more than once but over all… this is not his pattern. He continues to move from place to place… not staying anywhere for very long.

Tomorrow… due to the density of the woods and the close proximity of one wooded area to another, we will have to begin where we left off today. AS we will now be just tracking, unless we get a sighting 🙂 , we should be able to move faster. My thanks to Suzanne, Tom, Julia and Michael for each taking on responsibilities so we could keep tracking while keeping the tracking dogs, PACO and humans safe. Tomorrow… its back to the woods…

Salsa’s Back in Town!

Dog TrackerSalsa, the amazing tracking dog from Pure Gold Pet Trackers is back in town to track Andy’s scent through his latest sighting areas.

She tracked Andy today starting at Elmwood Ave in Norwalk which I thought was the easiest starting point of all tracks since it was recent and a small street to cover. As we started a boy came out and told us he saw him yesterday and Andy ran, incidently the boy is terrified of dogs and he ran too. Salsa found the track and tracked for quite awhile, we were soaken wet and poor Salsa had already tracked over 6 miles for someone this a.m. She needed some rest! We will touch base tomorrow as we have arranged for a hotel for Salsa and her family!

Thank you all for your help, and support. Sending our love back to you, xoxo

Dog Tracker Update

Attention! A fabulous dog tracked Andy for 6.7 miles from his last sighting Sat at 9 a.m. at Winslow dog Park in Westport. The track ended abruptly on a small street and the trackers expert opinion is that he was picked up and driven off. No signs of any injury, however we have contacted all vets in the area and beyond to be sure. This dog who is trained to follow cold tracks of up to a month was especially excited following Andy’s trail because it was so fresh. Please alert everyone you know, and post a lot of flyers in Westport, he could be with anyone, we can’t limit the flyer area to that specific street as he could be in anyone’s house or picked up by someone working in that area!!! Thank you!!
